The "Enter Web3.0 | First Stop" event, launched by CyberLabs and co-hosted by OKX, Starkware, QAQ, Garage Café, and several university blockchain communities, kicked off successfully at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Garage Café on Beijing's Zhongguancun Entrepreneurship Street.
Notable attendees included partners from CyberLabs (the event organizer), Xia Qingtian—OKX's Brand Director, Du Yu and Zhang Ziming—partners at QAQ/Unknown and co-authors of *Web3.0 Empowering the New Era of Digital Economy*, Rong He from Negentropy, Shi Yu from Garage Incubation, and Roy Zhang, Quantitative Trading Lead at JZL Capital.
Registration began at 1:30 PM. Participants streamed in, pausing for photos at the check-in desk and signature wall. OKX staff handed out premium branded merchandise, while CyberLabs provided complimentary drinks. As relaxing music played, everyone settled in, awaiting the start of the exam.
At 2:30 PM, Dr. Song from CyberLabs outlined the exam's purpose—centered on the "Enter Web3.0" mission—along with its duration, format, prizes, schedule, rules, and proctoring details. Proctors then distributed test papers and pens. Once the exam began, the room fell silent as participants concentrated on their answers. Meanwhile, CyberLabs staff prepared the awards and grading logistics.
At 3:15 PM, CyberLabs announced the end of the exam. Staff collected answer sheets, and graders began scoring on the spot. OKX host Qingtian then took the stage. She shared OKX's motivation for co-launching the "Enter Web3.0" initiative, promoted the OKX Talent Report, and emphasized OKX's strong support for the event.
Qingtian then facilitated a brainstorming session while grading continued in real-time.
After introducing the guest mentors, Qingtian divided participants into small groups, assigning a few candidates to each mentor. The discussion topic was: "If you were to start a business in Web3, what would you build?"
The guest mentors evaluated each team's proposal and selected the best entrepreneurial idea. The winning team members received CyberLabs' Startup Gift Pack and signed copies of popular Web3 books.
Grading wrapped up at 4:15 PM.
CyberLabs tallied the scores and moved on to the awards ceremony.
First Prize: 1 winner, awarded a $1,000 cash prize and a First Prize NFT trophy.
The prize also included a one-year startup incubation package featuring free Beijing office space, technical consulting, expert mentorship, industry exposure, investment matchmaking, and other resource services.
