BroadChain has learned that on the morning of Friday, March 13, debris from an Iranian drone struck a building within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This marks the second such incident near the DIFC in the past 24 hours.
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is home to major financial institutions and exchanges, including NASDAQ Dubai, the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME), CME Dubai, OKX, and Bybit.
Subsequently, on the afternoon of Friday, March 13 (Beijing Time), the organizers of TOKEN2049 officially announced the cancellation of the event originally scheduled for April 29–30, 2026, in Dubai.
The next TOKEN2049 Dubai edition is now slated for April 21–22, 2027.
